Fishing in Loch Fitty
Loch Fitty is a natural Loch 3 miles east of Dunfermline that provides a multitute of fishing types to cater for all anglers. Catering for individual anglers and groups with full tackle hire and restuarant facilities.

The Main Loch

For the traditional trout fly angler fishing from the bank or on a boat. The two man boats are 19ft long complete with reliable outboard engines and anchors.

West Bay

Lure or fly fishing from the bank only with fish of between 3lb and 15lb.

East Bay

Trout fishing for the bait angler. Maggots, sweetcorn and spinning. Live fish bait or worms are not allowed.

Lodge Bay

Coarse angling / fishing. Full of Roach, Carp, Rudd and Perch. Barbless hooks are the order of the day.

Current Record Catch

The picture on the left is the record rainbow trout taken out of the Loch by James Hammon on 6th of May 2001. As you can see it is an impressive fish.

The fish weighed in at 17lbs 13oz and was caught on a home made fly. This huge fish beat the previous record by an amazing 4lbs.
